Join us for the 2024 Trees of Hope Campaign at Cronulla RSL! This beloved holiday tradition invites 10 local not-for-profits to decorate Christmas trees displayed in our foyer. Each tree is a reflection of the organisation’s mission, offering a glimpse into the incredible work they do for the Sutherland Shire community.
Until December 21, members and guests can vote for their favourite tree, with the most popular entries sharing a prize pool of over $8,000. Plus, voters have a chance to win a Cronulla RSL restaurant voucher!

Essential Skills Learnt in Cronulla
Surfers Rescue 247 held a CPR & Board Rescue Course, supported by Cronulla RSL. Their award-winning course empowers surfers with essential rescue skills, surf-specific trauma and bleeding control, plus CPR training – endorsed by top surf community legends.
Shield of Remembrance
The Burraneer Hammerheads took on Combined Forces Rugby in the inaugral Shield of Remebrance match, celebrating the deep connection between rugby and our military service.
Donations collected on the day will help Cronulla Sub-Branch continue its initiatives for veterans and their families.
Remembrance Day 2024
The community gathered in Monro Park, Cronulla to acknowledge, honour and remember those who served our country in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
This year marks 110 years since the start of the First World War, in what was Australia’s costliest conflict. After four years of continuous fighting, the guns in the Western Front fell silent on 11 November 1918.

Cronulla RSL’s Motoring Enthusiasts Group recently rolled into Talotta’s Pizza in Kurnell to mark the start of Daylight Saving with delicious food and great company! With a fantastic turnout, the group was thrilled when Tony, the restaurant owner, surprised them with a trophy to celebrate their many years of loyal visits.

🏊♂️ Another fantastic Sharks Shield Carnival by Cronulla RSL Swimming Club! 🦈 Congratulations to Souths Juniors for winning the Barbara Murphy Memorial Relay, Kurranulla for taking the Cookie Shield, and Maroubra Seals for claiming the 10-a-Side Relay. Lifesaving AED Device Installed at Sylvania Athletics Track, Thanks to Local Clubs and Community Partnership
Thanks to a ClubGRANTS partnership with Tradies, Cronulla RSL, and Miranda RSL, a lifesaving AED has been installed at Sylvania Athletics Track, ensuring 24/7 access to emergency care for the community. Inspired by Port Hacking Little Athletics Club and managed by Staying Alive Health, the AED features a Real Help CPR screen with step-by-step instructions, enhancing safety for all track users

Sutherland Shire to Unite for Men’s Mental Health at [Mo]re Than A Run in Cronulla
More Than A Run, powered by Lululemon, is set to gather runners in Cronulla to support men’s mental health, contributing to Movember's largest community fundraiser. The event will start and finish on the Cronulla RSL bowling green, providing participants with post-run refreshments and a platform for open discussion on men’s health.

On October 10th, Cronulla RSL members and guests heled raise $1,000 for the McGrath Foundation, to ensure no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.
Life Saving Device on the Esplanade
Following recent tragedies in Bate Bay and recognising the large number of community members who frequent the area outside of lifeguard patrol hours, the Club have installed a Heart of the Nation 24/7 accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on the exterior of our building, easily reachable from The Esplanade.
