Cronulla Chess Club Members Compete in St George Club Championship

The St George Chess Club Championship is underway, and four members of Cronulla Chess Club—John Parissis, Ralph Henly Shaw, Ken Eldridge, and Nihal Scammell—are proudly representing the club in this highly competitive event.

This ACF & FIDE-rated tournament kicked off on Tuesday, March 4, and will run through to Tuesday, May 20, featuring 9 rounds, including three catch-up nights. With a time control of 90 minutes per player plus 30 seconds per move, the tournament is set to challenge the skills and endurance of all 70 participants.

Matches take place at 7:30 PM at St George Chess Club, where players will compete for top honors in one of Sydney’s most prestigious club championships.

We wish our Cronulla representatives the best of luck as they take on this exciting challenge! Stay tuned for updates as the tournament progresses.
