Supporting Our Deployed Soldiers with Care Packages
Cronulla RSL and Cronulla RSL Sub-Branch were incredibly proud to support our friends at Engadine Sub-Branch as they prepared care packages at Club Engadine for soldiers currently deployed. This meaningful initiative ensured that those serving our country received a taste of home, lifting their spirits while they were away from loved ones.
We were especially blown away by the generosity and dedication of local high school students from Cronulla High School, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer, and De La Salle Catholic College. These students went above and beyond, creating heartfelt messages of support and collecting Australian treats for our soldiers to enjoy. Their involvement was a true testament to the strength of our community.
The care packages contained classic Australian favourites such as Tim Tams, BBQ Shapes, chip multi-packs, ANZAC and other biscuits, lollies, chewing gum, chocolate, Easter eggs, tubes of Vegemite, coffee, and tea bags. These small comforts from home made a world of difference, having a positive impact on the morale of our deployed troops.
We were thrilled to contribute to this incredible initiative, helping to make it an even bigger success. A huge thank you to Engadine Sub-Branch for leading such a meaningful program, and to our local students and community members for their generosity and support. Together, we showed our appreciation to those who sacrifice so much for our country.
