$8,000 donated to local community groups
Cronulla RSL are thrilled to announce the winners the 2023 Trees of Hope.
11 local not-for-profit organisations were invited to decorate a Christmas Tree, which are currently displayed in the club foyer. Members, guests, staff & board voted for their favourite tree, with the most popular trees winning a cash prize.
Representatives from the organisations were encouraged to adorn their tree with ornaments that reflects the services and assistance they give to residents in the Sutherland Shire. This incredible initiative has allowed Cronulla RSL to donate $8,000 to support the fantastic work they do for our community.
850 votes were cast from early November to December 19th. The winning trees were:
Members Vote - Sutherland Shire Council Animal Shelter ($2,000): The shelter houses dogs and cats that have been abandoned, found stray, surrendered or have been seized. If animals cannot be returned to their owners, the shelter seeks new homes for them.
