Snacktember Update: A Huge Thank You
We've been absolutely blown away by the incredible support from our local community throughout Snacktember. Thanks to the generosity of our members, guests, and local schools & groups, we’ve seen snacks and non-perishable items pouring in, all destined to help those in need. Cronulla RSL has truly become Snack Central!
Throughout the month, we’ve been welcoming community groups who held their own Snacktember donation drives and brought in their impressive hauls. So far, we’ve collected over 752.11 kg of snacks.
To put that into perspective, this is roughly the same weight as a grand piano, a small car, or a an adult polar bear! It's an amazing achievement, and it shows just how much we can accomplish when we come together to support those less fortunate. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed—your donations will make a real difference!"
Cronulla RSL has been Snack Central throughout September, collection donations for Snacktember from local community groups.
Here's a recap of the amazing contributions:
Southside Malibu held a donation day during their competition at Wanda Beach, bringing in 26kg from their boardriders.
Caringbah North Public School SRC had an overwhelming response with a whopping 110kg of items collected from students who brought donations into their classrooms.
For the third year running, the Cronulla RSL Over 55 Club got behind Snacktember, contributing 25kg.
Cronulla RSL Members and Guests also chipped in, gathering 16kg.
Caringbah North Activity Centre collected 13kg through their donation box.
The biggest haul so far came from Laguna Street Public School, with an incredible 196.2kg of donations!
Little Achievers at Jannali and The Kindy Garden in Caringbah South, combined 30kg
Catering HQ, the catering managers of Cronulla RSL, donated 146.6kg.
A Private Donor contributed 22.31kg.
Westpac Kogarah staff held a donation box over the month and collected 10.015kg.
The residents of Bulwarra Street pooled together 12.38kg.
Our friends at Ramsgate RSL had a collection point in their foyer and collected 31.1kg.
Peter Pan Pre-School families contributed 23.65kg.
IMB Bank in Cronulla collected 4.9kg
Westpac Barangaroo staff gathered 72kg
Westpac Kent Street doanted 15kg

All these donations are stored at Snack Central (Cronulla RSL) and have been delivered to the Cronulla Community Co-Op at the Salvation Army in Miranda. This Co-op plays a vital role in supporting local families in need, as well as assisting charities such as Orana, Hopefield, One Meal, and the Salvation Army.
So far, we’ve made two deliveries to the Co-Op. The Snack Crusaders made a delivery direct to the Community Co-Op HQ & the other David from The Salvation Army collected directly from Cronulla RSL (pictured below).
