Life Saving Device on the Esplanade

Following recent tragedies in Bate Bay and recognising the large number of community members who frequent the area outside of lifeguard patrol hours, Cronulla RSL has taken an important step to improve public safety. We have installed a Heart of the Nation 24/7 accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on the exterior of our building, easily reachable from The Esplanade.

An AED can make a critical difference in emergencies. When used within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase by up to 70%. Having this life-saving device accessible at any time is crucial for our community, especially in high-traffic areas like Bate Bay & The Esplanade.

To locate the AED quickly in an emergency, the Heart of the Nation App now lists this device, making it easier for anyone to find and access it when needed.
