St Aloysius Students Complete RSA Training

Recently, Cronulla RSL was delighted to welcome Year 12 students from St Aloysius College, who utilised our facilities to complete their Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training. A group of 30 students spent the day at the Club, honing their skills to prepare for employment in the hospitality and club industry.

The training day was organised by St Aloysius College, and we were proud to provide a professional space for them to carry out such an important program. Students participated in engaging activities, including the use of "intoxication goggles" and role-playing scenarios to practice refusing service to intoxicated customers. The feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive, and the students enjoyed a great mix of practical learning and real-world application.

One of the highlights was a guest appearance Operations Manager, Bradley Bishop, who shared insights into the range of employment opportunities available in the club and hospitality industry. The students were inspired by this talk, with many now looking to pursue part-time positions in the industry.

We look forward to hosting the next group of students from St Aloysius in November, where an additional 60 students will complete their RSA training. It’s wonderful to see these young people gaining the qualifications they need to begin working in local businesses.

At Cronulla RSL, we’re always eager to support initiatives that benefit our community, and we're pleased to have been able to provide the space for this valuable training day.
