Cronulla Chess Club Champion, Nihal Scammel And Her Team Dominate 2024 St George Club Teams Challenge

Nihal Scammell, Cronulla RSL Chess Club President, dominate rivals at the 2024 St George International Teams’ Chess Competition.

Ten teams of five players participated in the round-robin chess tournament, with games played under 'classical' time control.

Her team, 'Zworestine’s Zugzwanging Zucchinis' included players from various chess clubs (sorted by their AFC ratings for an equal chance of winning) competed in nine rounds from May to August and concluded 4½ points ahead of their competitors.
