Supporting Our Surf Life Savers: Cronulla RSL's Contribution to Elouera Surf Life Saving Club
At Cronulla RSL, we take immense pride in fostering community spirit and supporting local organisations that make a difference. Recently, we had the privilege of providing Category 2 ClubGRANTS funding to support to the Elouera Surf Life Saving Club, enabling them to purchase a new ski erg for training. We are delighted to share the impact of this contribution and the heartfelt gratitude expressed by the Elouera Surf Life Saving Club.
“The impact of your donation has been immediate, particularly in engaging our youth members in ski training. The new ski erg has become an invaluable asset, allowing us to introduce innovative and effective training methods. The youth members of our club have eagerly embraced the new equipment, and we have witnessed a remarkable improvement in their skills and enthusiasm.
There has been significant positive feedback from our members. They express their appreciation for the high-quality equipment that has not only enhanced their training experience but also contributed significantly to the development of their skills. The ski erg has become a focal point for skill-building sessions, fostering a sense of camaraderie and dedication among our members.”
ClubGRANTS
The ClubGRANTS scheme is a shared State Government-Club Industry program, funded by a 2.25% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum.
Category 1 funding is available through Sutherland Shire Council, annually.
Category 2 funding is for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport/grassroots sport or veteran welfare activities.
Unlike Category 1 funding, Category 2 grant rounds are open all-year-round, through the Cronulla RSL grants committee.
