Wave Warriors 2025
Skillz4me held their annual Wave Warriors Event at Cronulla Beach on Saturday February 15th, filled with fun and laughter. The event was proudly supported by the local Board riding Club, Southside Malibu, whose members generously donated their time to help Skillz4Me deliver an unforgettable experience. Their passion and dedication played a key role in ensuring participants had the opportunity to enjoy the water with confidence. The day was also backed by the Sutherland Shire Lifeguards, whose presence provided an extra layer of safety and support, making the event both enjoyable and inclusive for all involved.
For families with children who have a disability, a trip to the beach is very challenging. However, with access to specialty equipment and reassurance of having experienced helpers on-hand, provides an opportunity for them to surf at the beach in a fun and supportive environment. For some, it is their first time in the water.
Cronulla RSL were proud to support this initiative, by supporting the event through the Category 1 ClubGRANTS program, and hope to make this opportunity a regular occurrence for children with moderate to severe disabilities.
