Darkness Into Light Cronulla will be held starting at Don Lucas Reserve on May the 10th, 2025!

Darkness Into Light, a global suicide prevention and mental health awareness event, is returning to the Sutherland Shire. Taking place in Cronulla on May 10th the event aims to encourage open conversations about suicide and provide a sense of community support. Participants will walk five kilometres along the coastline at sunrise, symbolizing the journey from darkness to light.

Originally launched in Ireland in 2009 with 400 attendees, Darkness Into Light has grown to include 200 official walks across 15 countries, involving over 150,000 participants. Previously held in locations such as Bondi Beach, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane, the Cronulla event will raise funds for headspace, the national youth mental health foundation, which operates a hub in Miranda.
